## About Directory Dash

Directory Dash is a free, single-page browser game built as a satirical launch-week toy for founders who have actually submitted a product to a startup directory. Enter your own startup's domain and it becomes a cube that has to run, jump, and dodge its way through ten fictional startup directories to get listed. Along the way you hit fake red spikes for outright rejections, one-star review stars, captcha blocks, cookie and newsletter popups, and slow "pending review" zones that sap your speed. It plays like a rage-platformer: quick deaths, short snarky rejection messages, and instant respawn, because dying and reading the messages is the actual point of the game, not an obstacle to it.

Checkpoints are on by default, which is the easier, more forgiving run. Turning checkpoints off is the deliberate hard mode, and finishing that way, called the miracle, gets its own special treatment: a sunburst, confetti, and unique rank and copy. Every run, whether finished, given up, or simply abandoned, gets a permanent shareable link and image card. There is also a live public leaderboard for the Most Rejected Startups by domain, plus best runs with and without checkpoints.

It is genuinely free forever, with no account, no paid tier, and by design no player-identifying data collected beyond the domain you type in and your run's score. It is made by Blastra, an AI tool that actually submits real products to real directories for a living, so Directory Dash is the comic version of the exact grind Blastra exists to automate. Nothing here is a real directory submission, and the game says so on the page.
