Sequence is a household to-do app for people with ADHD and the people they live with. It does one thing differently from most task apps: instead of showing you a list of forty things, it shows you the one thing to do next.

We built it that way because, for a lot of ADHD brains, a long list doesn't motivate. It freezes you. Red "overdue" badges and broken streaks don't help either. They tend to start a shame spiral. And most productivity apps ask you to plan first, with tags, timers and projects, which turns planning into one more chore. Sequence tries to keep setup tiny and the screen calm.

Here's how it works. You brain-dump your tasks in whatever order they come to you. Sequence keeps them in that order, and you can drag a card when something should move up. At the top sits a single highlighted card, your Up Next. When you finish it, the next one slides up. That's the whole loop: open the app, see one card, do it, repeat.

When something can't happen yet, you snooze it, and it stays out of sight until it's relevant again, so "later" never clutters "now." Recurring tasks like rent, meds or taking the bins out come back when they're due and then get out of the way. Nothing turns red and there are no streaks to lose. A task that slips just quietly re-sequences.

Sequence is built for a whole household, not just one person. Everyone gets their own lane and their own color, so you can see at a glance who has what. Shared jobs go in a green Together lane, which helps with the familiar "I thought you were doing it" problem. You can also put the household's flow on a TV or a tablet on the wall, so the kitchen has a calm, shared view of what's next.

It runs in any modern browser and installs to your home screen like an app on iPhone, Android, iPad and laptop, and everything stays in sync across devices.

If you already use an AI assistant, you can connect it to Sequence. Sequence runs an authenticated MCP server, so Claude Code, Cursor and other MCP clients (and ChatGPT where it supports custom MCP servers) can tell you what's Up Next or add a task for you. You create the key in the app and can revoke it anytime. It's optional. Most households will just open the app and glance at the TV.

Pricing is simple: one plan for the whole household, $6 a month or $59 a year, with no per-person charges. There's a 14-day free trial with no credit card, a reminder before it ends, one-tap cancellation, and a 30-day no-questions refund. Sequence is available in the US and Canada.

Sequence is a productivity tool, not a medical or treatment product. Your tasks stay private to your household and are never sold. We just wanted a to-do app that doesn't make you feel behind.
