## About Shmeetings

Shmeetings is a meeting assistant that runs entirely on your own computer. It records your calls, transcribes them with AI, and writes the summary. All offline. Nothing leaves your machine. No account, no cloud, no subscription.

Most meeting tools send your audio to someone else’s servers. Shmeetings does the opposite. It uses Whisper models for transcription and local language models for summaries, so your meetings stay on your disk even with the wifi off.

What it does:

- Records meetings and transcribes them locally with any Whisper model

- Summarizes notes with local AI, including custom GGUF models through Ollama

- Starts and stops recording on its own so you do not have to think about it

- Drafts follow-up emails from your notes

- Suggests questions to ask based on the transcript

- Transcribes audio files with drag and drop

- Lets you pick your mic and system audio sources

It works on macOS and Windows. You pay 39 dollars one time. No monthly fee, no per-minute limits, no data sharing.

If you take calls where the content is sensitive, like client work, legal, HR, or medical, this is the direct option: the recording never leaves the computer. Setup takes minutes. Pick your Whisper model, start it manually or let it detect the meeting, and Shmeetings handles the rest.

Updates are included. When a new Whisper model comes out, Shmeetings supports it. You pick the model size that fits your hardware, from small fast models to large accurate ones. The app records the meeting, writes the notes, and stores everything in a folder you control. Export the notes as text or email them to yourself or your team. That is the whole product. It does one job and stays out of your way.
