wcway is a public toilet finder for people and applications. It helps you look for toilets near your current location or a place you enter, including a street, station or town. Results show distance, access rules, opening information and available confirmation dates.
You can distinguish toilets that require a fee, a key or a customer purchase from those you can use without a purchase. Filters cover wheelchair access and changing tables. When information is unknown, wcway shows that limitation rather than treating missing data as a confirmed feature.
The service uses OpenStreetMap data under the Open Database License. Community contributions add confirmations, cleanliness ratings, problem reports and corrections to individual facts. Users can correct access rules, fees, opening hours and accessibility information. Moderators review reports about toilets that no longer exist.
Finding a toilet is free and does not require an account. The web app supports installation as a progressive web app. Developer integrations can use public read endpoints or the MCP server without an API key. These interfaces support location and place searches and return attribution with toilet data.
An llms.txt file and developer documentation describe the public tools, filters and data licence. Open data downloads provide another way to reuse the toilet dataset with the required attribution. wcway separates open toilet data from business partner information.
