MRR growth calculator
Enter current MRR, a monthly growth rate, optional monthly churn, and how many months to project. See each month’s MRR and the month you cross $1k, $5k, and $10k. Or flip it: pick a target and a number of months and get the monthly net growth rate that gets you there. Free, no signup, and the math stays in your browser.
Example$500 MRR, 10% growth, 3% churn, 24 months
Those numbers are filled in so you can see a projection immediately. Replace them with yours. Nothing you type is sent to a server.

Net growth is growth minus churn
The growth field is the monthly increase before customers leave. Churn is the monthly decrease. Net growth is the first number minus the second. At 10% growth and 3% churn, net growth is 7%, and next month’s MRR is this month’s MRR times 1.07. If you leave churn blank, it is treated as 0%, so net growth equals the growth rate you typed.
The same rate is applied every month. Month 0 is the MRR you start with. Month 1 is after one month of net growth. The table does not add a separate line for new sales, expansion, or contraction. Those only show up if you have already folded them into the growth percent.
The month you cross $1k, $5k, and $10k
A milestone is the first month where projected MRR is at least that amount. If you start above it, the result says you are already at or above that figure. If the projection stays under it for the whole window, the result says not reached within N months. Raising the month count extends the window. It does not change the rate.
The chart is the same series as the table. Copy results puts the milestones and every month into plain text you can paste into a note. The filled-in example is $500 MRR, 10% growth, 3% churn, and 24 months, which is 7% net growth.
Reverse mode: the rate a target needs
Reverse mode asks for a starting MRR, a target MRR, and a number of months. It returns one constant monthly net growth rate. That rate, compounded, lands on the target at the last month. It is still growth minus churn. If you type a churn percent, the note adds it back so you can see the gross growth rate that produces the same net rate. It does not tell you whether that rate is realistic. You supply the inputs.
This page does not publish anyone else's growth rate, and it is not a forecast of what a product will earn. Zero net growth keeps MRR flat. Net growth below zero makes the table decline, and a higher milestone then reads as not reached within N months.
MRR growth calculator FAQ
How net growth, milestones, and reverse mode are calculated
1Is the MRR growth calculator free?
Yes. It runs in your browser, does not ask you to create an account, and does not send the numbers you type to IndieHunt. There is no paid tier for this page.
2How is net growth calculated?
Net growth is the monthly growth rate minus monthly churn. At 10% growth and 3% churn, net growth is 7%. Month 0 is your current MRR. Each following month multiplies the previous MRR by 1.07. A blank churn field counts as 0%.
3When does it say I hit $1k, $5k, or $10k MRR?
The first month whose projected MRR is at least that amount. If the starting MRR is already there, the line says you are already at or above it. If every month in the window stays below it, the line says not reached within N months.
4What does reverse mode solve for?
You enter a starting MRR, a target MRR, and a number of months. The page returns the constant monthly net growth rate that lands on that target. Net growth is still growth minus churn. If you also type a churn percent, the note adds that percent to show the gross growth rate that would produce the same net rate.
5Does this predict what the product will earn?
No. It applies the rates you type, every month, with no change in the rate. It does not model cohorts, expansion, seasonality, or a market. It is arithmetic on your inputs, and it does not cite other products' growth rates.
