Goalball — the court sport played by blind athletes — runs entirely on sound. The ball has a bell inside it, the defender's partner calls the angles by voice, and nothing in the match is ever read: every signal arrives by ear, engineered to land over the noise of the game. The eye is not part of the sport.
Intertakt times intervals on the same principle. Your playlist keeps playing, exactly as you set it. Countdown beeps mark each boundary like the bell inside the ball, and a clear voice calls every HIIT and Tabata round, the halfway mark and the last round — voice, beeps and music each with their own volume, so the call lands over the track instead of replacing it. No silence required.
Sessions are built for training rather than tapping. Set the intervals once, press start, and the timer runs the plan aloud from the first beep to the last round. During a round the screen is not needed at all: the phone can lie face-down on the floor, go dark, or sit in a pocket — the audio timeline keeps running, and every boundary still arrives by ear.
An incoming call or an app switch holds the round instead of killing it: the session resumes from the exact second it stopped, never from the top. Banked work stays banked.
The app is offline-first, so nothing about a session depends on a connection — it runs the same in a basement gym or outdoors. It fits HIIT and Tabata circuits at home, conditioning and bag work in the gym, and round-based training anywhere you train to your own music.
The free tier is unlimited: 0 ads, ∞ sessions, 0 accounts. Premium is a one-time purchase, not a subscription — custom plans, history, JSON export. Built with Flutter, offline-first. Coming soon to Google Play; the waitlist and founding pricing are open at intertakt.com.
