About LorePanic

LorePanic is a tool built for tabletop role-playing game masters who actually run sessions instead of just talking about them. It started from a simple, painful observation: when you're at the table with five players staring at you, waiting for the next scene, you don't have time to flip through three sourcebooks looking for that one grappling rule, or to scroll back through forty pages of campaign notes to remember what the players promised the innkeeper two sessions ago. LorePanic exists to make that lookup instant, conversational, and grounded in your actual material rather than in hallucinated nonsense.

At its core, LorePanic is a searchable, AI-augmented binder for your campaign. You upload your adventure books, rulebooks, homebrew documents, and notes, and the system chunks them, OCRs the scanned pages, and indexes everything into a real full-text search engine. From there, you can chat with an agent that has deep knowledge of your specific campaign and rule system. Ask it how grapple works in your edition and it answers with the rule and a citation. Ask it what's in room twelve of the dungeon and it tells you, pulling straight from the adventure you imported. There is no generic D&D trivia bot guessing at things; every answer is anchored in documents you control.

The second pillar is live session support. LorePanic records your table in real time using Mistral's Voxtral speech-to-text, transcribes it as you play, and feeds the transcript to a fast suggestion engine that surfaces useful prompts every few seconds: forgotten NPC names, callbacks to earlier sessions, rules that just became relevant. A rolling summary keeps the long arc of the session coherent so you can stop scribbling and actually look at your players. After the session ends, you get clean transcripts, AI-generated session notes, and a structured log you can edit and keep as canon for the campaign.

There's also a Roll20 importer for migrating existing campaigns, and a browser extension that brings the same search and chat into virtual tabletops. SRD content is included publicly for free; your private books stay private.

LorePanic is built as a small, opinionated indie product rather than a venture-backed platform. It runs on a self-hosted stack, supports bring-your-own AI keys for power users who already pay for ChatGPT, and is priced for working game masters rather than enterprises. If you run a campaign and you've ever felt the panic of not finding the right page in time, this is the tool you wish someone had built for you. Now someone has.
